Casey Weaver
Program Coordinator

Casey Weaver (they/them) is a Program Coordinator at Science in Society committed to STEM education equity and public health among marginalized communities.
They have worked with kids in a variety of educational and creative capacities for over 10 years, ranging from math tutoring to productions of The Little Mermaid. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, they have supported both local community education efforts as well as global pre-college programs welcoming students from all over the world.
Most recently, they worked at the Center for Science Education at Tufts University School of Medicine to develop BioScann curricula in partnership with Boston Public Schools, facilitate mentorship between Boston high school students and Tufts University undergraduates, and conduct public health and education research.
Casey has also produced speaker events, workshops, and performances with the Tufts University LGBT Center. With bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies from Tufts University, they take an interdisciplinary approach to research and action, believing that our most powerful scientific work is only possible when coupled with meaningful social change.
